The Mavericks were up eight with under 7 minutes remaining in the third quarter, but the Lakers closed the period on a 20-6 run and took a six-point advantage into the fourth as LA beat Dallas 107-97.

Lakers forward Brandon Ingram scored a game-high 29 points to go along with a game-high-tying six assists and two steals and point guard Lonzo Ball had 21 points seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in the win Monday night.

With the loss, the Mavericks moved to 15-4 at home this season. Dallas entered tonight having won 13 of its previous 14 games at American Airlines Center.

Mavericks rookie guard/forward Luka Doncic tallied a team-high 27 points to go along with eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. It marked his 21st game with 20-or-more points this season. Doncic’s 21 20-point efforts are already the third-most 20-point games by a Mavericks rookie in franchise history. Only Jay Vincent and Jamal Mashburn have produced more.
